FILM
Explore all of what Cornish has to offer in film this summer. Mornings begin with a foundational class in cinema’s full range of visual language and experiencing the flow from ideation to clear narrative and production. Afternoons are filled with electives such as film editing, sound design or any other elective in Music, Theater, or Art & Design. Friday mornings, students develop and finalize their materials appropriate for applications to college or other programs. Go beyond the summer camp experience and elevate your skills with Summer@Cornish.
At the end of the four weeks, teens will present their final group film for family and friends in Cornish’s new Raisbeck Auditorium.
”I loved the program. When I went in I knew almost nothing about film and the program did an excellent job preparing me for other projects I wanted to work on. Summer at Cornish gave me insight on what art education could be like and inspired the idea of pursuing film.”
Afternoon Electives
Afternoon electives can be chosen to build an all-day, 4-week experience with morning foundation courses, or be taken as a free-standing class. All electives run either Monday & Wednesday, or Tuesday & Thursday from 1-4 from July 10 to August 5. Upon registration, choose one foundation course and 2 electives. Electives can be mixed and matched, but must choose one M/W and one T/Th.
